Occupational Therapists are already amazing because they truly change people’s lives for the better, but the OT Program at Stony Brook University just added on a little extra amazing!
This January, the OT Program held a Cereal4all Drive to benefit the Long Island Cares-Harry Chapin Food Bank in NY, which provides food and support to more than 300 community agencies, including food pantries, child care programs, and veterans’ services programs.
All the cereal from Stony Brook’s drive will be distributed to children and families struggling with food insecurity. Over 1.8 million people in New York face serious hunger issues, including over 500,000 children.
Big thanks to Grace Cherry for spearheading the effort, and to Jillian, Sarah, Gracie, and all the OT students & faculty who helped give breakfast & happiness to those who need it most.
Cereal4all is proud to team up with you!
