Student Ambassador Shoutouts: New York City, Seattle, Santa Monica, Las Vegas & San Francisco

Cereal4all is a youth-run nonprofit powered by students across America who fight hunger in their communities by organizing breakfast food drives and volunteering at their local food banks. Here’s a shoutout to some of the amazing Cereal4all students who dedicate themselves to strengthening their communities…

Amelia and Elik Parbu recently volunteered at God’s Love We Deliver in Manhattan where they baked food for HIV/AIDS and cancer patients facing food insecurity in NYC. They also volunteered at the St. James-St. Matthews food pantry in Queens.

From the University of Washington, Abbey Schmidt and Darby Gavagan sorted and packed food at the University District Food Bank for Seattle-area families and homeless people in need. Abbey and Darby represented their sorority well!

Maya Andrews volunteered at the SF-Marin Food Bank in San Francisco where she packed and sorted food donations for distribution to children and families facing food insecurity. Like all of Cereal4all’s student volunteers, Maya also generously donated low-sugar cereal to the food bank, which provides meals to over 53,000 households per week.

In Santa Monica, CA, Lily McGrath and Solis P. packed fruit and vegetable donations at the Westside Food Bank. The food will be distributed to some of the 72,000 households served by the food bank.

In Las Vegas, Lenore volunteered at the Three Square Food Bank where she sorted vegetables and other food into boxes for families in need. It was Lenore’s first time volunteering at a food bank. She said the staff was so friendly and the experience so meaningful that she can’t wait for the next session. Go Lenore!

We’re grateful to all the students and schools who’ve joined our dual mission to get breakfast & happiness to people in need and get more young people actively engaged in the fight against hunger.
