Cereal4all Flies Inaugural Oatmeal Airlift to Hunger Relief Program in Bimini, Bahamas

Cereal4all’s inaugural Oatmeal Airlift this September was a high-flying success! We combined two of our favorite things–fighting hunger and learning to fly airplanes–to deliver 100 pounds of Quaker Oats Protein Instant Oatmeal to a hunger relief program in Bimini, Bahamas. We teamed up with Bahamian government officials to identify a need for breakfast food on the island. The 750 protein-rich instant oatmeal packets will be distributed to children and seniors struggling with food insecurity and hunger.

We were honored to work with the island’s government Administrator, Evak Arthur, and Urban Renewal official, Elshadre Robins, to carry out the mission. The people of Bimini were so friendly, and the ocean around the island was the bluest we’ve ever seen.

We flew a Piper Archer aircraft to deliver the oatmeal, and the flying went awesome, thanks to our Flight Instructor, Ken Morgenbesser. He’s the best instructor around! We love learning from Ken, and he always keeps us flying safe.

We thank everyone who donated to Cereal4all so we could buy the oatmeal. We also thank our partners–including Target, Publix, First Watch, and Boca Helping Hands–for helping make all our hunger relief projects possible. And we hope to team up with Quaker Oats to carry out more Oatmeal Airlifts soon!
