Details about the program…

How does the program work?

  • Cereal4all offers 10 community service hours for the Student Ambassador Volunteer Program because you are actively participating in and helping us strengthen the two key parts of our mission: Fighting Hunger and Encouraging Youth Volunteerism
  • Cereal4all will award 10 service hours to each student who completes all four steps of the program:
                1. Volunteer session at a local food bank
➛We can help you identify a food bank near you
➛The volunteer session must be a minimum of 2 hours
➛You’ll register as a volunteer through your local food bank’s online portal
➛When you sign up for your volunteer session, please forward us the confirmation
              2. Cereal donation
➛Donate 5 regular-sized boxes of low-sugar cereal or instant oatmeal to the food bank on your volunteer day
              3. Photos
➛Take a good photo of your group actively volunteering in the food bank. Also take a happy photo of your group holding your cereal donations with the food bank or its signage in the background. Make sure everyone is together in the same photo. Here are some example photos.
➛Cereal4all will post your photos with the goal of inspiring other students to follow your example. We strongly believe in the importance of encouraging more young people to volunteer in their communities.
➛Your photos will also help Cereal4all verify your volunteer time & cereal donation
➛If you post the photos on social media, please tag @cereal4all and the food bank, and include a message about how meaningful it was to volunteer:)

              4. Your input
➛When you complete the steps above, we’ll give you a questionnaire about your volunteer experience
➛Your answers, advice, and anything else you think we should know will become an important factor in helping Cereal4all strengthen our mission and interaction with future volunteers
